Terms
Last updated: October 19, 2026
These terms cover buying and using the Skitwright Starter Kit (the "Kit"). Skitwright is run by an independent creator based in Taiwan ("we", "us"). Questions: hello@skitwright.com.
Orders and payment
Orders are processed by our online reseller, which acts as the Merchant of Record (named at checkout, for example Lemon Squeezy or Polar). The reseller takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT that applies, and issues your receipt; its own buyer terms also apply to the purchase. Prices are shown in US dollars and taxes are added at checkout where required.
What you get
A digital download, available right after payment: the project files, the quick-start guide (PDF) and the sample scripts described on the product page. The Kit runs on your own computer; the quick-start guide lists what it needs (a desktop or laptop with macOS or Windows that can run Node.js, Google Chrome and ffmpeg). The series casts shown in our demo videos are not part of the Kit.
Your license
- You may use and modify the Kit to make your own videos, including videos you publish or earn money from.
- The license is for one person. Don't resell, share, sublicense or publicly redistribute the Kit or substantial parts of it (for example as a template, course or asset pack).
- Third-party parts (open-source code, CC0 3D models and audio) keep their own licenses, which are listed in the Kit.
- Voices you generate with a text-to-speech service follow that service's terms. Some free plans don't allow commercial use; for commercial work, use a voice with a clear commercial license.
Your videos
The videos you make with the Kit are yours. You're responsible for what they contain and for following the law and the rules of the platforms you post on. Don't use the Kit to impersonate real people or to make unlawful, deceptive or infringing content.
Third-party services
The Kit can work with services we don't run (AI coding assistants, text-to-speech providers). Their terms, prices and availability are up to them, and any costs are yours.
Refunds
See our refund policy.
Updates
We may release updates to the Kit. We'll tell buyers about major ones, but we're not obliged to keep updating it.
No warranty, limited liability
The Kit is provided "as is". We work to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will run on every computer or work with every future version of the tools it depends on. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived under the law where you live.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the version in force when you buy applies to that purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China), without taking away mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
